A 28-year-old Keoni Keoni Patrick Keliima Cassidy of Keauhou was sentenced Monday in Kona Circuit Court to 20 years imprisonment for felony possession of heroin.
According to county Prosecutor Kelden Waltjen, on Nov. 18, 2021, Cassidy was found unresponsive in the driver seat of a silver Acura sedan parked outside Aloha Island Mart in Kailua-Kona.
After officers were given permission to search the Acura, they found 103 grams of heroin, 57 grams of methamphetamine, 12 1⁄2 blue Fentanyl pills, 0.5 grams of cocaine, 37 Suboxone pills, 30 Oxymetholone pills, three vials of testosterone, a .12 gauge Remington shotgun, four boxes of .12 gauge shotgun shells, plus drug paraphernalia, including a digital scale.
“We will continue to prioritize the prosecution and investigation of those who distribute dangerous drugs, including methamphetamine, fentanyl and heroin,” Waltjen said. “I would also like to … thank and recognize the hard work and dedication of the Hawaii Police Department and their Kona Patrol and Area II Vice Section.”
